Strong Marriage

The Bible has much to say about marriage. For most people, marriage is complex, requiring much from the involved individuals. For me, the best thing that we can do to improve our marriage or to better prepare for marriage is to develop our ability to understand our spouse. We need to dwell with understanding.

Proverbs 24:3 (NIV) By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established;

Understanding comes from knowing and knowing comes from discovering. We need to know and understand our spouse's needs, concerns, struggles, strengths, goodness, limitations and weaknesses. Understanding our spouses will enable us to accept them, help them, support them, and develop them.

We need to teach ourselves how to understand our spouses in order for us to achieve great fulfillment in marriage. When we commit ourselves in understanding, however, we must must prepare for necessary adjustments. Anyway, marriage is a lifetime adjustment. And besides, our goal in marriage should be more than friendship, it should be to become one in honor of GOD.

God bless you exceedingly!

Loving you in Christ Jesus Agape,

Message from Pastor Rodel dela Cruz

11 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. 12 It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age. Titus 2:11-12

I read a story about a young Christian lady who went to a university to finish her study. For the very first time, she was away from her parents and she lived in a dormitory together with her friends. After a few days, she found out that most of her friends didn’t go to church, many spent the night with their boyfriends and many students cheated on tests. Given these situations, thoughts and opportunities were so tempting for her to compromise in ways she’d never expected. She realized she needed help and called her mother.

The dilemma of the young lady is an open reminder that in the world, there are distractions that pull us away from God. Like in the lady’s revelation, God wants us to recognize areas in our lives in which we may need to change, saying no to temptation and yes to spending more time with Him. Let us continue to read the Bible-His Word, and take time to listen. His small, still voice will instruct us to say no to lust, no to cheating and no to lying, and will help us learn “to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age.”

Yours in the service of the gracious God,

Ptr. Rodel dela Cruz

During my terrible ordeal last year, as some of you have heard me testfying it, the Good Lord allowed me to experience the feeling of being Helpless and Hopeless. Wherein there is no one to turn to but to Him. I made sure that while I was passing thru the dark valleys of my life I joted down notes and learn and compelled to share with you my journey. We need to...

PRAY, absorb the WORD,  FAST, WORSHIP,  ANOINTING of Oil SACRIFICE,  Speak in TOUNGES, FAITH

Doing these, IBelieve it will compel God to move and do miracles when He sees our sincerity. Starting February 4, 2012 and every Saturday onwards, we will practice all of the above mentioned during our Saturday worship service. We will EXCEL!

Grace in Tough Times

Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Psalm 23:6 (NIV)

God in His great love always give space for improvement allowing that everyone will not perish but come into repentance. As an old man, David looked back over his long life and in spite of his sins and failures; he had been followed by goodness and mercy. My walk of faith and the reality of life have taught me something different: my time in green pastures and beside the quiet waters often occurs simultaneously with my walks through dark valleys.

I experience the truth of Psalm 23 not after I avoid or escape difficulties but during them. The Holy Spirit leads me toward green pastures and quiet waters and fills my cup to overfowing. I do not wish for tragedies to come. Yet when they do, God faithfully provides rest and quiet, sustenance and protection as I walk on. Our Master guarantees that tasks shall be balanced with the precise strength we possess.

He knows our frame: He remembers that we are dust (Ps. 103:14). He will not be less merciful to us than the merciful man is to his beast. He knows the exact pressure we can stand, for He has made us; He knows the utmost load we can lift, and will not suffer us to be tried, tested, above what we are able (1 Cor. 10:13). God puts you in time and in situation. The good news is, God is now working in your time and in your situation expecting that He will glorify in your life. Glory to God.
