MAY PAG-ASA PA BA? Is there hope? With the rampant poverty and the daily struggle of the Filipinos to have food on their table, amidst crimes that afflict anyone, can people still hope for something positive? When they are down and out, and when the future seems so bleak, how do people keep holding on to hope?

Hope is something that people hold on to when things are uncertain and when they are facing difficulties in life. It drives them to keep going on though the future does not hold any promise.

Because of the challenge to rekindle hope among people, ANGKLA was born.

The Worship Department of the Church of God has come up with this concept of bringing hope to the poorest of the poor, not only materially but spiritually. The group will visit towns, villages and barangays, to present a concert and musical drama that aims to bring about even a tinge of hope.

MAY PAG-ASA PA BA? Is there hope? The songs in the musicale and the multimedia presentation featured in Angkla hope to ignite hope in the hearts of bystanders. These are meant to make them see way past beyond the depression that they are facing and to bring a positive impact in their lives. The presentation wants to tell them that whatever giants they are facing, there is still definitely hope.

MAY PAG-ASA PA BA? Is there hope? The most important unit in a society is the family, that’s why “Pamilya Banal” which tackles the turmoil that a family usually encounters has been made part of the presentation. Without Christ as the center of every family, surely, they are headed to destruction. For JESUS CHRIST is the way, the truth, and the life of every individual. The story yearns to bring new hope to every family that is in the brink of separation and bewilderment.

What is Angkla? And Why Angkla, anyway?

ANGKLA or anchor is a device that hooks and secures the ship as it docks or when it is being swayed by the storm.

JESUS CHRIST is the ANGKLA that secures us, the hope that brings light in our darkened lives, the Saviour who died to give us life.

MAY PAG-ASA PA BA? Is there hope? Yes, there is, and Jesus Christ is the only hope we have.
